Watch Your Nightmare Come to Life With Thousands of Spiders on Heater Vent

We're just gonna go ahead and warn you now - the below video is disturbing, creepy and pretty much perfect for the run-up to Halloween. Of course, anyone suffering from arachnophobia may want to click away from this article (Or maybe save it for later for some exposure therapy).

A video showing thousands of 'Daddy-Longlegs' (or opiliones, or harvesters for all those arachnologists out there), was captured by an Alaska man living in Dillingham.

"Dipdooly is what they are called out here, I don’t know if they use that name in other areas," Thomas Glass told KTUU after discovering the nightmare fuel outside his home.

The video opens with Glass approaching the heating vent outside his home that appears to have some dried up moss hanging off of it. But, as he runs his hands over the 'moss', thousands of Daddy Longlegs begin falling and crawling all over Glass's hand.

Glass says the creepy-crawlies were bundled together in an attempt to stay warm as temperatures begin falling in Alaska.

"At night you could see them migrating across the ground everywhere looking for somewhere to warm up," he said. "They show up every fall when it turns cold, but I haven’t seen this many before."

While creepy looking, Daddy longlegs are harmless and can be found on every continent (except Antarctica). They do not have any silk glands, and do not produce any webbing. They mostly subsist on small insects, plant material and fungi.
