Man Arrested Trying to Enter MacDill Air Force Base With AR-15 in Trunk

TAMPA -- A 33-year-old man is accused of trying to force his way into MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, home of U.S. Special Operations Command, back on November 3rd.

Federal prosecutors say Baruch Roche the second told Air Force guards he was "Captain America" and had a top secret meeting scheduled with a general at USSOCOM. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida says Roche got into an argument with guards and threatened to come back every day to look for the officers who wouldn't let him on base, which is when they decided to detain him.

Base security found an AR-15 and 125 rounds of ammunition in his trunk.

Roche could face a year in prison, and lose his weapon, if convicted.
