Pinellas Detectives Look for Animal-Abusing Archer

ST. PETERSBURG -- Pinellas County detectives are looking for the person who shot a cat with a bow and arrow.

A rescue group called Cat Trap Fever found the cat January 31st at 72nd Avenue North and 33rd Street in St. Petersburg, with the arrow in its back. The three year old gray shorthair is in serious condition after surgery to remove the arrow, and other operations.

The arrow is a black Wicked Ridge, with yellow fletching and an orange nock -- the part that holds the arrow on the string.

Neighbors say the cat is a "super friendly" neighborhood cat.
