June Is Alzheimer's And Brain Awareness Month

Purple is the color of June, in observance of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. The Alzheimer's Association states that:

Worldwide, more than 55 million people are living with Alzheimer's or another dementia...580,000 people aged 65 and older are living with it in Florida. And almost 14% of people aged 45 and older have subjective cognitive decline.

Dr. Isabel Souffront, Chief Medical Officer at Conviva Care Broward says while there's no cure yet for it, there are red flags. One of the early, more common signs or red flags to get checked out is an inability to pay bills, double pay or forget to pay....or going somewhere, getting lost and not returning.

Sedentary lifestyles have become more prevalent in recent years, and in the long run this has a negative effect on overall health.
