Rays Shut Out By Yankees For Fourth Straight Loss

The New York Yankees (13-7) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (8-12) 1-0 on Friday night at Steinbrenner Field. It was the fourth straight loss for the Rays, who also lost 1-0 for the second time during that stretch.

The Yankees got all of their offense from Trent Grisham when he had a RBI single in the second inning. Drew Rasmussen (1-1, 0.87) took the tough-luck loss, allowing one earned runs on three hits in five and two-third innings of work while striking out seven and walking three.

The Rays will look to bounce back in the third game of the four-game divisional series on Saturday afternoon. First pitch Saturday is scheduled for 4:10 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage at 3:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
