Keep safety top of mind when you're cooking your Thanksgiving feast. State Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia says use common sense, especially if you're frying your bird. Keep the fryer far away from your home at ground level, make sure your turkey is completely thawed before putting it in hot oil. He says you should not overfill the fryer, keep your kids far away and your fire extinguisher close by.
